2 buildings go up in flames

PARAMARIBO – Two buildings went up in flames on Monday. The abandoned building which was known as Ansare and which was located at the Waterkant went up in flames on Monday morning. That same day a house that was located in the Krakaweg also went up in flames. It is believed that drug addicts had moved into Ansare and that one of them was busy burning copper when the building caught fire. No injuries were reported. Fire Department Spokesman Olton Pinas told Times of Suriname that the house which was located in the Krakaweg collapsed shortly before the arrival of the firefighters.
