Robbery/ murder suspect arrested after 8 years

SURINAME – You can run but you can’t hide forever. 34-year-old Romano Banai a.k.a. Mano who is the prime suspect in an armed robbery/ murder case managed to stay on the lam for 8 years. Banai and other suspects robbed  the Sewmangals at gun point in 2006. During the armed robbery that took place at the residence of the Sewmangals which is located at De Nieuwe Grond the woman of the house was shot dead. Banai was arrested in the vicinity of his home at Leiding 20.
