SURINAME – Jennifer van Dijk-Silos on Wednesday was appointed chairwoman of the Independent Elections Bureau (OKB) by President Desi Bouterse. “The OKB realizes that it is the watchdog of the nation during the elections,” said Van Dijk-Silos who added that she hopes that the upcoming elections will go smoothly and that stakeholders will understand that the OKB must do its job accordingly.
