Weak administration keeps putting pressure on government’s obligation to pay

SURINAME – The government keeps getting into payment problems due to its weak administration and insufficient effort at the ministries to apply the accountancy rules. Contractors and other suppliers of goods and services are once again complaining that the government is behind with the payments. Meanwhile reports indicate that the state income has dropped due to the drop in prices of raw materials on the world market. “We know that we have a weak administration.
