Ivan Reitman: Ghostbusters director dies aged 75

Film-maker Ivan Reitman, who directed blockbuster comedies including the original Ghostbusters, has died at the age of 75. After his family fled Communist oppression in post-war Czechoslovakia, Reitman grew up in Canada, where he trained in film-making. His big break came when he produced the 1978 frat-house comedy National Lampoon’s Animal House. His other films as director included Twins, Kindergarten Cop and Junior.
