The police recently arrested two XTC dealers in the vicinity of a mall located in Paramaribo. Vernon Thomas K was in possession of a gun and 2,058 XTC pills. The XTC pills were found in 2 bags that were hidden under the saddle of his moped. Raouf S was in possession of 35 XTC pills. When  police officers searched the apartment of Vernon Thomas K, they found two additional bags in the refrigerator. The bags contained 1,573 XTC pills in total. Vernon Thomas K claimed that his employer lent him the gun because he works as a security guard. He confirmed that the pills belong to him and that he had sold a batch to Raouf S who had come all the way from the Nickerie District just to buy his product. Raouf S told the police that he had bought XTC pills from Vernon Thomas K because he wanted to sell them in the Nickerie District. Both men are currently in jail awaiting trial.
