Officer C.L. who is on trial for a sex crime recently confessed to having touched the breasts of his 16-year-old stepdaughter. His ex-wife testified that he had confessed to her that he had sex with her daughter on three occasions but he denied it. “I went to his workplace to meet him and after he got into the car he confessed to having sex with my daughter. He sent text messages to me to apologize for his actions. He confessed that he was the perpetrator. I was angry so I asked him to buy something for my daughter. After that I did not want his money and I made that clear to him,” said the woman who married the defendant in 2019 and who got a divorce last year. The woman described her daughter as a quiet girl who does not make up stories. She had noticed her daughter and the defendant acting strange. “I woke up and saw my daughter walking to her room. I also saw him walking,” said the woman. The girl who eventually told her grandmother that her stepfather had sexually abused her multiple times was afraid of her stepfather because he had a gun. After a while the girl moved in with her grandmother. She confided in her grandmother and told her what had happened to her. The girl’s biological father then brought her to the police.
