PARAMARIBO – Foto D. went to the police station located at Klaaskreek last Wednesday because his Stihl chainsaw had been stolen. He told the police that his chainsaw was stolen in the village where he lives namely Goejaba. Foto D. also told the police that he had received information which indicated that another villager had stolen the chainsaw and that the thief had taken the bus and that he was on his way to Paramaribo in a bus. The police intercepted the bus at a police checkpoint before arresting the suspect who was evidently in possession of the stolen chainsaw and a small quantity of marijuana. The suspect who was identified as Adjako G. was also in possession of other things. The police suspect that he had also stolen those things because he could not produce any receipts.
