SURINAME  – MP Lesley Artist last week told Times of Suriname that the official opening of the Carolinabrug will take place on December 20. The decision to open this bridge was made in consultation with the Ministry of Public Works (OW) and the Office of the President. Reports indicate that President Desi Bouterse will attend this event. The bridge was initially scheduled to be opened on November 25, Independence Day.
