The Bicycle Patrol Unit which was at a standstill for over three years has been resuscitated by the City Constabulary Department of the Mayor and City Council. The bicycle patrol was birthed out of a relationship developed during a visit to the Miami Conference of Mayors 2008, by local City Council officials. The focus of the unit is said to be to identify violations of the City By-Laws which can see ranks warning and initiating arrests.
