The father of murdered Madewini mechanic, Pooran Baljit testified when the preliminary inquiry (PI) into the capital offence commenced before Magistrate Leron Daly yesterday, in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

Rayon Jones, 21, of Lot 212 Fourth Avenue, Bartica is currently on remand for the killing which is alleged to have occurred during the furtherance of a robbery.
