Five thousand signatures against pitiful circumstances of exotic animals

SURINAME – “We won’t rest until this has become a thing of the past,” said Ruth de Windt on behalf of the representatives from various animal rights organizations as she presented a petition to the chairwoman of Parliament, Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, on Thursday. The activists are  urging Parliament to put an end to the sale of exotic animals next to the public road. 1,700 signatures were added to the petition.
