Four types of medicines from India to be destroyed

PARAMARIBO – Portion of the shipment of medicines that India donated to Suriname is no longer fit for consumption. Health Minister Amar Ramadhin confirmed that 4 of the 22 types of medicines are deemed unsuitable. “It is our responsibility to put medicines that meet the quality standards on the market,” said Minister Ramadhin. The medicines that passed the tests and that are deemed fit for consumption have already been delivered to the nation’s hospitals, RGD clinics, pharmacies and the Medische Zending (MZ).
