Guyanese AG urges government to pay Rudisa

GUYANA – The Guyanese government will most likely have to ask Parliament permission to pay Rudisa NV the $6 million which the country still owes the Surinamese company. Attorney General Anil Nandlall explained that this sum has not been included in the budget. “We will have to tap into our emergency fund through Parliament.” According to AG Nandlall, his country has no other choice than to cough up the money.
