ISRAEL – The Israeli army attacks a group of journalists in Jabalia in northern Gaza, killing one and critically wounding Al Jazeera camera operator Fadi al-Wahidi in the neck.

Another night of heavy Israeli bombing in Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, is under way while health officials say at least five people have been killed in the southern town of Wardaniyeh. The head of the World Health Organization says Israel is impeding UN missions evacuating patients at several hospitals as the Israeli army continues its siege of northern Gaza for a fifth day. Hezbollah says its fighters have repelled two Israeli military incursions into Lebanon as its attempts to gain ground in the country’s south appear to stall.
