22-year-old ZQ on Tuesday appeared in court to face a murder charge. He allegedly assaulted and strangled a customer in a store located in the Dr Sophie Redmondstraat. The judge made it clear that the security footage must be played in court next week so that everybody can get a clear picture of the events that unfolded on the day that the victim was killed. The defendant claimed that he did not want to kill the man but that he just wanted to keep him from exiting the store. The victim had taken three bottles of perfume and wanted to exit the store without paying for them but the nephew of the retailer and the retailer’s wife prevented him from leaving.
