PARAMARIBO – The Environment and Health Department (MGD) closed a restaurant located in the Nickerie District last Wednesday. Whenever people request a permit or an extension of their permit so that they can sell food, the MGD carries out a routine inspection. When the MGD visited the restaurant in question it became clear that the permit holder did not meet the requirements so the inspectors decided to close the restaurant for the next two weeks.
