Inspector  Ruben Mendonça  who will officially become Acting Chief Inspector on January 2 told Times of Suriname that “if taxes are collected properly, the sum of SRD 2.1 billion which policymakers are eying can be achieved.” He explained that the earnings from imports will add a significant contribution to achieving this goal.  Mendonça also told  Times of Suriname that he will fill in and that he will not change much.
