Gennaro H took the law into his own hands when the police did not take any action after being notified of the sexual abuse of his little sister. He sent Chivaro S and Wendel M to assault the man who had abused his little sister sexually but they also robbed the man. When the judge heard this story, she immediately instructed the Public Prosecutor’s Office to launch an investigation into the sexual abuse of the 14-year-old girl.

The sexual abuse came to light when Gennaro H, Chivaro S and Wendel M appeared in court. Chivaro S and Wendel M assaulted the man but also robbed him of forty thousand Surinamese dollars, a smartphone and his car. The teenager told the court that she had met the man at Wakapasi and that he had taken her to a hotel where they had sex. She also told the court that her mother took her to the police to press charges but that the police did not take them seriously. Gennaro H therefore decided to take matters into his own hands. He sent a message via WhatsApp to the man, telling him to wait under the Saron Bridge. When the man showed up under the bridge, he and his accomplices assaulted him. Gennaro H claimed that he only wanted to assault the man and that he never intended on robbing him.

The victim told the court that he was robbed under the Saron Bridge on January 16th. He did not see the faces of his attackers but he did recognize the postures of Wendel M and Chivaro S when he saw them in court.
