PARAMARIBO – Officers from a special police unit and detectives carried out a joint operation aimed at tracking down and arresting the suspects who had robbed and raped a teenager during a home invasion last week. Last Friday robbers broke into a private residence before raping and robbing a 16-year-old girl who was home alone. The police arrested 28-year-old V.M. first. After the first suspect was taken into police custody, the police unit managed to track down and arrest two other suspects namely K.R. and S.R.
