V7 parties free to negotiate with NDP

SURINAME – The member parties of the V7 bloc are free o negotiate individually with the National Democratic Party (NDP) when they receive an invitation to talks regarding a joint venture aimed at forming a government. The V7 leaders who are all on the same page regarding the issue reportedly reached this decision at a meeting on Monday.  “All of the parties within the V7 bloc are free to hold talks with other parties if they want to. Given the fact that the NDP has reeled in the majority of parliamentary seats, the ball is now in their court and they can hold talks with parties that have also reeled in parliamentary seats.
