Suriname will continue to purchase oil from Venezuela. The last few years Suriname has been supplied with 4.6 million oil barrels through the PetroCaribe agreement. On Monday 29 June the 15th Ministerial Council of PetroCaribe was held in Caracas and it was headed by Venezuela’s Minister for Petroleum and Mining, Asdrúbal Chávez. The meeting was held on the occasion of the 10th birthday of the regional PetroCaribe energy supply agreement. During this meeting the member states evaluated the PetroCaribe Agreement.
