PARAMARIBO – A man who works in the hotel where a woman was murdered on Thursday did not recognize the defendant, Carlos S, as the man who had arrived at the hotel with the victim. The woman was killed in a hotel room on February 21st, 2021. The witness told the court that the victim drove the car into the garage and that somebody was sitting in the backseat. “I did not get a good look at the person who was sitting in the backseat,” said the witness who left after the woman had paid him for the room. The witness did, however, claim that the person who accompanied the woman to the hotel was chubby. After a while the woman was found dead in the bathroom. The person who had accompanied the victim was nowhere to be found. Carlos S claimed that he is being framed for murder. The receptionist previously told the court that she had seen a man who wore a surgical mask and a cap running out of the yard. The man in question had told her that he had to go to a store. The receptionist did not suspect anything when the man made a quick exit. After a while she called the victim’s room to inform her that her time was up. When the woman failed to answer the phone, the receptionist decided to go to the room but was shocked to see that the door was not locked. The woman who was half naked on the floor did not show any signs of life. “I did not see the face of the man who ran out of the hotel,” said the receptionist.…[+]
