SURINAME – A man was recently found guilty of the attempted rape of a 12-year-old girl and was given a prison sentence. The would-be rapist will spend the next two and half years in a state penitentiary. The man reportedly tried to rape the girl when she came to sleep on his bed. The man lived under the same roof with his wife and two kids. One of his wife’s girlfriend’s eventually moved into their home with her two kids, including the 12-year-old girl. The girl reportedly often slept next to the suspect’s wife in their bedroom. The rape attempt took place when the man went to bed.
