Regional Hospital Wanica faces food shortage

The Regional Hospital Wanica reportedly only has very little  food for the 25 homeless people who have been given shelter. There is only food left for one week. The government evidently has not provided new food supplies to the Regional Hospital Wanica. The people who work at this hospital believe that the government has not paid its food bills on time. They try to help out by buying food and other things such as onions and salt with their own money. Some of the homeless people who sometimes work for the hospital also pitch in financially so that food can be bought. An employee from the hospital pointed out that they have been facing a food shortage since September 29th. The employees asked local entrepreneurs for donations.  Stichting 1 voor 12 delivered food products on behalf of a donor. The employees thanked the foundation for responding to their calls for help. Another donor  will provide rice every week and the superintendent at the Central Market will provide vegetables. According to the employees, it is not easy to ask for donations because not everybody believes them when they say that homeless people have been given shelter at the hospital. The employees claimed that they do not get paid for working overtime but that they keep doing their job despite all challenges. They hope that a solution will be presented soon so that  the homeless people can have plenty of food again…[+]
