SURINAME  –  Inmates last week removed billboards that had been placed on electricity poles. The order to remove these billboards was given by District Commissioner  Jerry Miranda. Most of the billboards had been placed on the electricity poles without permission.  The inmates reportedly carried out the order at various locations. DC Miranda indicated that he wants his jurisdiction to look stately.
