“Extra lessons needed to fill education gaps”
PARAMARIBO – “It is necessary to provide extra lessons. The assessment tests have indicated that we have education gaps,” said Education Minister Henri Ori at a press conference last Wednesday. Minister Ori explained that his team would discuss the extra lessons with teachers, pupils and parents. Everything will happen voluntarily. We will not force anybody. The main objective is to carry out this experiment firmly especially in neighbourhoods where it is necessary. We have already identified a number of neighbourhood’s and schools that will partake in this pilot project.
