Police intercept cocaine at JAP

PARAMARIBO – The police on Monday intercepted more than 7 kilograms of cocaine at the Johan Adolf Pengel (JAP) International Airport. 24-year-old Valerie D reportedly had 7,314 grams of cocaine in her suitcase.

 

Sources told Times of Suriname that the suspect had hidden the cocaine in fish,spices and Chinese fruits. The woman was scheduled to catch a flight to the Netherlands when she was caught red-handed at the international airport. She was arrested by officers of the BID team before being handed over to the Narcotics Brigade. The investigation is ongoing. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting trial. …[+]
