PARAMARIBO – Last week Minister Krishna Mathoera was presented with the highest rank of the Order of Rio Branco namely the Grand Cross of the Federative Republic of Brazil in recognition of her relevant contribution to strengthening the bilateral ties between both countries. She received the highest rank which Brazil gives to foreign authorities at the main office of the Instituto Guimares Rosa (IGR) Paramaribo. Brazil’s ambassador to Suriname, Raphael Azeredo, confirmed that Brazil is committed to deepening the regional collaboration and integration particularly with Suriname.
