Little interest in temporary access to lists of voters
Citizens currently have access to the lists of voters but there is a poor turnout at the CBB offices where these lists can be viewed. This temporary access is given to voters to check their information so that they can head to the polls on May 25th 2025, Election Day, to cast their votes. Only a handful of people have gone to the CBB offices with their ID cards. The director at the Ministry of Home Affairs (BIZA), Mohamad Eskak, told Times of Suriname that most people most likely check their information online instead of going to the CBB offices. “It has only been a few days and we will evaluate things after a week.
