PARAMARIBO - Hardeo Ramadhin recently decided to let his actions speak louder than his words by placing SRD 10,000 on the table. “This money will go to to Somohardjo if he gets 4 or more parliamentary seats at the next elections.
If he gets fewer seats, he must pay me the same amount of money. He is the one who challenged me to partake in this wager,” said the political analyst who predicted that the Pertjajah Luhur (PL) will not get more than two seats at the next elections. Paul Somohardjo is one hundred percent certain that his party will reel in more than four seats and therefore challenged Ramadhin to put his money where his mouth is. He suggested placing at least USD 100 or no more than USD 1 million for this bet. Ramadhin had initially indicated that he would place SRD 5,000 on the betting table but recently decided to double it. “If the PL wants to reel in four seats, it will have to grow with about 120% and I honestly do not see that happening,” said Ramadhin.
