people managed to loot a store located in the Abonestraat at Geyersvlijt after the building caught fire. Local residents rushed to help the retailer but several men  seized the opportunity to steal American dollars, Surinamese dollars, alcoholic drinks, cigarettes and food products in the store. The security footage shows that more than 30 men barged into the store to lend a helping hand. The men who went straight for the cash register were caught on camera.

G.B. who went to the living room to steal money and jewels was also caught on camera. He is currently in jail awaiting trial. Investigators are sparing no efforts to track down and arrest the other suspects.
