GEORGETOWN - Upon his arrival at the airport, he was welcomed by US Ambassador Nicole Theriot, Min-ister of Foreign Affairs, Hugh Todd, and other Govern-ment and airport officials.
During his visit, he will meet with President Dr. Irfaan Ali to discuss a number bilateral matters, which include, economic partnerships, regional security, and defense cooperation. The meeting is part of a two day tour of the Caribbean, which includes visits to Jamaica and Suriname. The purpose of the Secretary's visit is to promote U.S. President Donald Trump's foreign policy objectives in the Caribbean region.
