CBvS sells about $ 44,000 and € 14,000 at public counter in first week

The Central Bank of Suriname (CBvS) has reportedly sold about $ 44,000 and € 14,000 at its public counter to the ‘common man’ in the first week. The Central Bank has reportedly processed 210 requests for foreign currency. “The first week went by successfully. We received a spontaneous response from the public which proves that there is a huge demand for foreign currency,” said the Central Bank in a press release.
