PARAMARIBO – The entrepreneur who collects garbage in the Coronie District will remain on strike until he has received payment for his services. The district commissioner of Coronie, Maikel Winter, made it clear that another solution is being sought to keep the garbage from piling up.

One of the residents of this district is prepared to collect household rubbish for a small price. The people who want their household rubbish to be collected will therefore be required to pay a small fee. DC Winter wants the garbage collector to receive payment so that he could get back to work.
