The Indian government has already donated $ 154,806.29 to ’s Lands Hospitaal. The money will reportedly be used to renovate the hospital’s morgue.  The donation was made possible thanks to the lobbying efforts of Suriname’s ambassador to India, Ashnaa Kanha. The acting director of ’s Lands Hospitaal, Berhard Abia, explained that the hospital urgently needs to give its morgue a face lift so that it will become more customer friendly.
