SURINAME – The Police Force Suriname (KPS) recently urged citizens to remain very cautious during the holidays to keep themselves from being targeted by criminals.  Police Commissioner Humphrey Naarden urged citizens not to keep valuable jewels and huge sums of money at home. Naarden explained that just like honest citizens criminals also want money to celebrate the holidays. The honest citizens work hard to earn a little extra but the criminals want the same without having to work up a sweat.
