Man dies after stabbing incident
PARAMARIBO – A 28-year-old man died after having been stabbed in Santo Boma on Thursday. C.R. was rushed to a local clinic where he died as a result of his injuries. When a police unit arrived on the scene, the victim had already been brought to a local clinic by relatives. The police officers found out that the victim had gotten into a fight with his brother-in-law, A.S. Both men sustained injuries during the physical altercation. The perpetrator went to the Emergency Room at the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP), where he was arrested by the police. The murder weapon was recovered at the house of the perpetrator. The motive is still unclear. The lifeless body of the victim has already been taken to the Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting trial.
