Many applicants interested in election day job
Many people who are interested in working for the government on election day, May 25, showed up at the Paramaribo North East District Commissioner’s Office on Monday. Many people who wanted to fill in an application form stood in line outside the DC’s Office. The DC of Paramaribo North East, Jerry Miranda, his personnel and the police repeatedly had to ask the applicants to patiently wait for their turn. When things started to get a bit rough, crush barriers were placed outside the DC’s Office. People were pushing and pulling each other in the hope of advancing faster.
