PARAMARIBO – The police on Wednesday arrested a male suspect after they had intercepted 4,340 grams of cocaine at the Johan Adolf Pengel (JAP) International Airport.

 Reports indicate that Wilfredeo R was scheduled to take the flight to the Netherlands that day but that he was arrested after the officers from the BID team found more than 4 kilograms of cocaine in his suitcase. After he was arrested,he was handed over to the Narcotics Brigade. Investigators are trying to find out where the suspect obtained the cocaine and who he had to deliver it to in the Netherlands.
