Due to numerous complaints from the community regarding the poor customer service at the Traffic Division of the Police Force Suriname (KPS) Police Commissioner Bryan Isaacs decided to visit this department last Wednesday to assess the situation himself. Citizens who were present at the Traffic Division seized the opportunity to complain about the fact that things do not go smoothly and that it seems as if there is always a delay when they have to request an extension of their driver’s license. Many of the citizens who were there complained that they had had already visited the division four times and that they always have to stand and wait in long lines. The police commissioner assured the citizens that measures would be taken to improve the customer service at the Traffic Division.
