The Police Force Suriname (KPS) recently issued a press release, indicating that it would start screening all the party buses that drive in and around the inner city. The police will reportedly take action against bus owners who violate the rules. The party buses are not allowed to exceed the passenger limit. When police officers notice that bus drivers have exceeded the passenger limit, the ‘additional’ number of passengers will be instructed to get off the bus. The bus driver will also be given a fine.
