PARAMARIBO – Two policemen were recently sentenced to two years in prison after they were found guilty of extortion. M.P. and W.F. had told the victim, V.S., that they could get arrange his release from jail if he paid them $ 800. V.S. ended up paying $ 810 via an acquaintance.
