SURINAME – President Desi Bouterse on Wednesday met with a delegation of top executives  from Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America) led by  Marty Bates. The top executives are currently in Suriname to discuss the take-over purchase of the Surinam Aluminum Company (Suralco) by the Surinamese government. The chairman of the presidential committee, Dilip Sardjoe, on Thursday issued a press release, indicating  that  certain agreements have already been reached.  The president and the top executives discussed a number of topics regarding the take-over purchase of Suralco and both parties agree that everything is on track now and that they will wait for the results of a few studies after which everything can be finalized…[+]
