President donates 150 school parcels to Pelelu Tepu
President Chandrikapersad Santokhi recently donated 150 school parcels to the children of the Amerindian village of Pelelu Tepu. The parcels were handed over during a special ceremony on January 7th. This project was coordinated by the advisors of the president, Eduard van Leeuwen and Stanley Dijksteel, in association with Dajenne Nelson, principal of OS Pelelu. The head of state made it clear that he would keep lending a helping hand to the community whenever and wherever it becomes necessary in order to improve the quality of life. “The children who live in the remote parts in the hinterland are also entitled to education and a better life,” said president Santokhi.
