After more than four weeks the people with health insurance from the SZF can finally visit a specialist again for medical treatment. The medical  specialists on Thursday announced that the healthcare services for SZF patients have returned to normal and that these patients can once again make an appointment. After a meeting between the Association of Physicians in Suriname (VMS) and government officials, the specialists finally received their money for services rendered in July. The specialists will reportedly receive their money for services rendered in August within a week. Other problems that the specialists face while dealing with the SZF will be discussed and solved step by step under the supervision of the director of the Office of the President. The specialists who were satisfied with the results of the talks decided to end their partial strike.
