SURINAME – Just like all of the other hospitals the St.Vincentius Ziekenhuis (RKZ) is facing financial troubles. The RKZ currently owes its creditors about SRD 4 million. General Director  Manodj Hindori indicated that the foreign suppliers of medicines and medical equipment have ceased all deliveries. The general director also indicated that local suppliers of medicines, blood products and other services come knocking at the RKZ’s door every day to demand their money. The people who deliver medicines and goods have made it clear that they will only make deliveries on cash payment.
