State attorneys still waiting for money

State attorneys recently indicated that they have been waiting to get paid since June 2014 and that they are tired of waiting for their money. A few state attorneys told Times of Suriname that would most likely stop handling additional cases.  The attorneys explained that they have to cover several expenses when they visit their clients in jail houses and state penitentiaries nationwide. They have to pay transport costs and fuel costs and they can’t submit a statement of expenses anywhere.
