SURINAME – The passenger of a pick-up truck, Diminga Naarden (30), died in a traffic accident that took place at km 22 along the Oost-Westverbinding km 122 in the  Coronie District. Regional Police Chief  Harnarain Mohan confirmed that the traffic accident had claimed one life. The driver of the pick-up truck survived the accident while the passenger died at the scene.  Olton Pinas, spokesman of the Fire Department, told Times of Suriname that a grey pick-up truck ended up in a gutter in the Coronie District, leaving 1 person dead.
