Woman steals attendance list

PARAMARIBO – A woman who works at the administrative department of a local school recently stole the attendance list because she disagreed with the fact that she was labeled absent on the days that she could not show up at the workplace. She claimed that she could not show up at work due to flooding and because she did not have a babysitter for her child. After the principal had given the attendance list to the woman, the woman threw it away. Later the principal spotted the list and picked it up before putting it in one of the drawers of her desk. When she looked for it after a while, she could not find it. The principal suspected the woman of having taken the attendance list so she confronted her with the theft of the list. The woman initially denied the accusation but eventually confessed. She also made it clear to the principal that she was untouchable so the principal went to the police to press charges.
